Today was a big day for Judah. He reached TWO milestones: it was his first doctor's appointment AND he weighed in at 5 lbs! Hooray! Everything else looked great, too. He is a strong and healthy little boy! Thank-you, Lord!

Judah came home from the hospital on Sunday afternoon! It was so exciting to bring him home after being in the hospital all week! He is gaining and feeding well, and we finally have our new baby boy at home! Praise God!

The nursery removed Judah's feeding tube today! We were so proud! Doesn't he look great?!

Introducing Judah Nathaniel

Judah was born 4 weeks early on February 20, 2005 at 11:50 pm, via emergency c-section. I guess he couldn't wait to see the world! Praise the Lord that he is a healthy little boy, aside from being very little: he barely tipped the scale at 4 lbs 14 oz. We are so happy to have our precious gift from God in our arms. He is the cutest baby ever!

according to my personal pregnancy calendar at baby center, baby ennema now weighs around 5 pounds and is over 18 inches long! wow, what an incredible thought! my uterus is 15 times its normal size ... that would explain the bladder pressure, hey? i can't believe that i am 35 weeks already (35 weeks and 1 day, but who's counting?!) ... the time is passing SO quickly! this baby will be here before we know it!

please pray for baby ennema's grandma, karen's mom. she broke her wrist today after slipping outside. pray for a speedy recovery and relief from the pain.

breech

i had a midwife appointment yesterday, and now they're pretty sure the baby is breech ... no good. i have an ultrasound scheduled for february 21st to check for sure, but hopefully the baby turns around before then ... prayers, please!

40 days to go ...

things are looking better and better around here! it's nice to have some order again! my mom and dad came over this afternoon and helped me organize and started painting the front entrance. it looks great!

sadly, however, i won't be living at the house for the next few weeks. since i'm working in brampton until the end of february, i'll be living at rob's parents' house during the week. so rob and i have three more weeks of being separated. i can't wait until this living apart is over!

i took one picture of the baby's new crib, and was planning on taking some pictures of the rest of the house, when the batteries on the camera decided to die. one is better than none ... so here is one picture for now:

we have a house!

well, we're moved into our house now! things are a bit chaotic in some areas of the house, but a lot of it is coming together quite nicely. the kitchen and living room are liveable now, and our bedroom is getting there...slowly but surely, we'll get this house put together!

i was so excited about the baby stuff, so rob put together the crib today! i've posted some pictures of him assembling it in our baby's bedroom!

it's moving day!

i can't believe we're moving today! i'm so excited!
i'm currently waiting at my parents' house for rob and the guys to call and say they're on their way with the truck full of all of our material possessions. we decided it would be better for everyone (picture me, 8 1/2 months pregnant, yelling at rob that he's going to break my [name of treasured item here] and trying to lift something heavy like the TV...) if i stayed out of the way while they pack up the apartment. rob has recruited the help of friends anthony and dan and our brother-in-law, ed. i'm sure they're doing just fine without me...
anyway, we get a new house today! hooray! and we've got lots of people coming to help out with the unpacking at the new house. this should be fun!

sick

it is my (karen's) second day staying home from work with a BRUTAL cold - chest, head, everything...no fun! the only thing i'm allowed to take is tylenol, which doesn't help much when all you want is to be able to breathe! i went to the doctor this afternoon, and she wants me to off work until at least monday, so that i can rest. what a great weekend for us to be moving into our new house (just a hint of sarcasm ...). i'm going to have to make myself rest instead of pack and clean. likely. after sleeping and spending most of the day in bed yesterday, i went stir crazy and started cleaning the kitchen. by the time rob came home for prenatal class, i was completely zonked. i had my "outing" to the doctor today, and i get to swing by work to bring in the doctor's note, but that's it for my activities. i guess i should count my blessings, though: the staying home and doing nothing part wouldn't be so bad if i weren't feeling so lousy!

less than two months to go until we get to meet our precious little one! wow, this pregnancy is going quickly!
