pics of the week: 22 weeks

my new teeth

these are my two new teeth. the picture is kind of fuzzy, because mommy really isn't the best photographer. don't tell her i said that, though. they really hurt coming in, but now i'm pretty happy with them, because it's fun to bite stuff (like mommy's finger). mommy says that i will be getting more teeth soon. i sure hope they don't hurt as much as these ones did!

busy boy

i've been watching mommy lots lately, so i've learned how to work the computer all by myself. aren't i a genius?

mommy and i have been so busy lately. on the days that it's not SO hot, mommy has been taking me for nice long walks in the stroller, which i LOVE! on the yucky hot days, we have been going for walks in the mall or swimming at grandma's house! mommy brought me to the nursing room at the mall yesterday, and we found out that i weigh 14 lbs 13 oz. mommy says that now i am three times my birth weight, whatever that means. all i know is that i really love to eat!

i have also been busy practicing sitting up lately. i still need a little bit of help from mommy or my cool bumbo chair, though. I have also been trying to stand, just like mommy and daddy do. mommy keeps telling me i'm too little, but i know that i can do it, because i'm a big boy.

anyway, mommy thinks i'm asleep in my crib right now, so i better get back before she catches me.

5 months old!

Judah is 5 months old today! I can't believe it; time is flying by faster than i would like it to! He is starting to move around more and more. When I get him from his crib in the morning, he is either way down at the bottom or wedged into a corner. I had him on my bed with me the other day, and he was actually starting to creep a little, slowly moving forward. He also likes to stand a lot these days. I'm so proud of him, but it's kind of bittersweet because he's not so little or dependent any more. And who knows how much he weighs these days? He is SO big!

time flies

Yesterday, a couple at church brought their brand new little baby girl. she was a tiny bub, weighing 6 lbs 5 oz when she was born not even two weeks ago. as i looked at her, i could not even fathom that Judah was almost 2 lbs lighter! How quickly we forget! Judah is growing up right before my eyes; sometimes as I'm holding him or watching him sleep, I have to remind myself to just BE there and enjoy every moment with him, because he will be all grown up before I know it. Time flies way too fast...

first tooth!

judah cut his first tooth today! i just noticed at dinnertime...i've been pretty sure that he was teething lately, so i've been checking his gums frequently. where there was nothing yesterday, there is a decent-sized tooth coming through today on his bottom right! and it looks like lefty will be pushing through any day now.
